Grit or un-dispersed chemical can cause filter blockage leading to uneven chemical application. To address this risk, filtration should be applied in stages through the sprayer moving from coarse at filling through to fine mesh at the nozzles.

Source & Tank - Coarse filtration by a foot filter or a basket filter during filling. Where water is drawn from a nurse tank suction hose filter can be used.

Pump & Spray Boom - Coarse/medium filtration to protect the sprayer pump

Nozzle - Medium filtration positioned between pump and pressure regulator or line filters between each boom section. Fine nozzle filters can be used as a fail safe.
